This week for the NFL was big because on Sunday February 3, 2019 was the Superbowl. This years Superbowl was The Rams v.s The Patriots. The Patriots ended up winning 13-3 but there was no scoring till the 3rd quarter. But that is the only thing important that has happened in the NFL this week.

This week for the NFL is the conference of the last 4 teams to see who is going to the super bowl. It was the Saints v.s. Rams, and The Patriots v.s. Chiefs. In the Chiefs v.s. Patriots game the patriots came out with the win with a score of 37-31. And in the Saints game the Rams came out with the win with a score of 26-23. so the 2018-2019 season super bowl will be the Rams v.s. Patriots.

This month in the NFL has been an interesting month, one of the most recents things that have happened as of December 10 the Raiders have fired their General Manager Reggie Mckenzie. And for the Patriots they have lost to the Dolphins 34-33 and Tom Brady truly believes that the Patriots will bounce back from that loss. The way the Miami dolphins won this game was a absolute miracle with two laterals on a 69 yard touchdown on their very last play against the Patriots. This type of play almost never works but somehow the Dolphins got this play to work and became the play of the year. This play will be a legendary play always remembered by any Miami Dolphins football fan. This was one of the craziest plays that has happened all year in the NFL. And in the NHL a big contract deal has happened regarding William Nylander. William took his contract with the Maple Leafs  to the wire, but its finally over. The two sides agreed to a new deal Saturday minutes before the 5 p.m. ET signing deadline. This ended a months long standoff and narrowly avoiding a season without one of the NHL’s promising young talents. Nylander’s contract is worth $41.4 million and is for 6 years. Nylander will earn a $10 million salary and a bonus of $2 million for the rest of the season, according to TSN’s Bob Mckenzie, meaning he’ll count $10.2 million against the salary cap. In the NBA this month the Golden State Warriors officially assigned Demarcus Cousins a center to their G league affiliate on Monday as he continues to recover from a torn left achilles tendon. At the Pelicans v.s. Celtics game on Monday afternoon Kyrie Irving has been ruled out of the game due to shoulder soreness. Regarding College football, Ohio State’s safety Jordan Fuller named Academic All-American for second consecutive year.

New things that happened with the Packers lately are that the Packers parted ways with associate head coach Winston Moss on Tuesday night. And Julio Jones is expected to play against the Packers this Sunday, he was out because of his foot injury.

For this weeks standings in the NFL for record is the Rams, and Chiefs tied for best record. Their record is 8-1-0, in second place for the best record in the NFL currently are the Patriot, and the Saints tied for second with a 7-1-0 record. And coming in third place is the Chargers, and Panthers with a 6-2-0 record. And those are the top 3 teams in the NFL right now for their records.

So as you may have heard the Boston Red Sox have defeated the Los Angeles Dodgers in the world series. The final score of this game was 4-1.  That is the conclusion of the MLB 2018 season. In the NFL some things that have been going on are the Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll released their wide reciever Brandon Marshall on Tuesday. Pete said that the reasoning behind this decision was because he claimed that they needed more help on special teams and that is why he did that. Also on the Seahawks Mychal Kendricks, which is their line backer has been suspended for eight games as opposed to an indefinite ban. Pete Carroll said ” We are hoping for a better shot, … we’ll look forward to getting him back when the time comes.” And regarding the Rams their General Manager Les Snead explained that them losing Sammy Watkins, and Trumaine Johnson, left them comfortable enough to get Dante Fowler Jr from the Jaguars. Moving onto the NBA recent stuff that has been happening such as the cavillers firing coach Tyronn Lue. This happening made Larry Drew named the interim coach. And also on Friday, October 26 the lakers assigned moritz wagner their center to South Bay for a rehab assignment. Currently in the NBA the Milwaukee Bucks are standing in the first position with a 7-0 record. Following in second place is the Toronto Raptors with a record of 7-1. The raptors still have a chance of coming and taking the number 1 spot, because they are 1 game ahead of the Bucks so the Bucks still have to play one more game. And that next game if they lose that will make the Raptors and Bucks tied for first place. In third place they are not that close to second they have a 5-2 record which is the Boston Celtics. For them to catch up and have a shot at first seed the Bucks and Raptors would have to go on a losing streak and then the Celtics could not lose there next few games to catch up. So that is what has been going on recently in the NFL, NBA, and the MLB.

The New Orlean Saints traded their 4th and 7th round draft picks for the draft in 2019, and 2020 for Eli Apple coming from the New York Giants. This is the latest showing that the franchise has it’s eyes on this year’s Super Bowl, and is willing to do what it takes to reach the NFL’s biggest game.

A surprising trade that might happen in the NBA is C.J McCollum being traded for Bradley Beal. This trade actually makes more sense than you would think, because both Portland and Washington have been stuck in a sense of mediocrity in NBA terms. Both teams have made the postseason but who is really expecting them to make it past the first or second round. They both have similar games but are different enough that them changing teams would begin excitement to both the fans and the franchise.
